Who we are

Wild Law UK is run by an elected steering committee of volunteers that manages the daily operations, strategy and projects. There are also many other supporters who contribute to the work of the group on regular or ad hoc basis

Sandy Abrahams

Picture
Sandy is a solicitor at a city law firm and a Wild Law UK old-timer. She has extensive experience in the climate change and energy field and working in policy within the UK and corporate bodies. Her expertise is instrumental for strategizing on how to change the entrenched practices of government and business.

Tom Brenan

Picture
Tom has worked with the Environmental Law Foundation for a number of years, providing assistance to communities with environmental concerns. His interest in a more Earth-centred approach recently led him to the study of bio-dynamic horticulture and he maintains one hand in the soil and the other in the law.

Chiara Ferracioli

Picture
Chiara worked and collaborated with a number of environmental organizations as a researcher and policy lead. She is passionate about the connection between environmental and human rights. In her MA dissertation she made a case for the recognition of the Rights of Nature in international environmental law.

Christian Heitsch

Picture
Christian is a law lecturer at a London university. He worked in German higher education and private practice, was a member of FoE legislative affairs working group and contributed to the nuclear litigation that knocked off Mülheim-Kärlich plant. In his view, Wild Law should be part of a social movement for the equitable and ecologically sound reshaping of society.

Carine Nadal

Carine is the Earth Jurisprudence Co-ordinator at the Gaia Foundation where she provides legal research and advocacy support to indigenous communities. Dedicated to amplifying the voice of Earth and indigenous communities, she has contributed to distilling and advocating Earth Jurisprudence principles.

Linda Siegele

As an environmental lawyer Linda has followed proceedings in the international climate change negotiating process for a number of years, and has written extensively on environmental law. She is working toward a PhD in Law at UCL while teaching environmental law to graduate students. Linda leads the Wild Law UK legal drafting group.

Liz Rivers

Formerly a commercial lawyer, she now coaches people in the sustainability field in how to be powerful and inspirational speakers, giving voice to the new emerging paradigm. In her spare time she is a keen singer and is passionate about the power of voice (both spoken and sung) to create transformation.
